A Miami Circle Company Collaboration
Hembree Farm × The Mission Motif
A private-label American furnishings collection, exclusive to one Miami Circle showroom
Miami Circle Company and The Mission Motif collaborate to introduce Hembree Farm, a private-label American collection built on the Hembree Farm circa 1835 story and manufactured through Trend Manor and Bad Ass Recliners.
Stickley and Stressless are excellent brands, and they are available to any qualified dealer in the country. Hembree Farm is the opposite proposition: a collection The Mission Motif helps shape, controls locally, and nobody else on Miami Circle can carry.
A collection you can own, not another line you can order.
Why this is not another brand pitch
The Mission Motif already occupies the right position. This fills the one gap in it.
The Mission Motif built its authority around Arts & Crafts, craftsmanship, customization and heirloom furniture, and its assortment already establishes two clear reference points for a customer walking the floor.
Stickley
The heritage benchmark
American Arts & Crafts, Mission design, quartersawn oak, heirloom construction. The standard the customer measures everything else against.
Stressless
The comfort benchmark
Scandinavian engineering, contemporary seating, ergonomic comfort. The standard for how a chair should feel.
Hembree Farm fills the space between them: the integrity and materials associated with Mission furniture, reinterpreted for a warmer, more casual Southern home. Same values, different register, and a product line the showroom can call its own.

The shared values are the point. Four names, one argument: American craft, natural materials, useful design, lasting comfort.
What Hembree Farm is
The collection would not attempt to reproduce furniture from 1835. It takes its principles from the original farm instead.
Furniture should feel substantial without feeling precious. Comfortable enough for daily life, and good enough to stay in a family for generations.
That standard is already met by the manufacturing side. Trend Manor has built solid American-grown oak Mission and Arts & Crafts furniture in California as a family business since 1946, which gives the collection a production story that holds up under questions. Bad Ass Recliners supplies the upholstered comfort component that a Mission-only line cannot.
The private-label opportunity
Trend Manor’s solid-oak construction, Mission heritage and made-in-America positioning allow selected pieces to be developed and merchandised under the Hembree Farm identity rather than a manufacturer’s label. Together with Bad Ass Recliners, the two could support a proprietary assortment across:
- Recliners and lounge seating
- Leather upholstery
- Occasional tables
- Consoles
- Dining furniture
- Bedroom furniture
- Office furniture
- Accent and specialty pieces
Over time, finishes, leather selections, fabrics and details could become exclusive Hembree Farm specifications. That is the part that compounds: a specification nobody else can order is an asset, not an assortment.
Stickley sets the benchmark. Stressless sets the comfort. Hembree Farm is the product you help design.
Introduced without a second showroom
Scott Antique Markets does the discovery. Miami Circle does the selling.
The collaboration launches without anyone building or staffing new retail space. Each month, Miami Circle Company creates a Hembree Farm room at Scott Antique Markets, with one carefully selected piece representing each part of the story.
The display changes monthly. The Hembree Farm identity stays constant, which is what turns a market booth into a recognizable collection rather than a rotating pile of furniture.

Positioning
This should not compete with The Mission Motif. It should expand what The Mission Motif can sell.
- The Mission Motif remains the retailer and design authority
- Nothing about the existing business changes. The showroom, the relationships and the customer stay exactly where they are.
- Hembree Farm becomes its exclusive Southern lifestyle collection
- A private-label line the showroom helps shape, specifies, and controls in this market.
- Stickley provides the historical benchmark
- The reference point that makes the Hembree Farm materials story credible on the floor.
- Stressless provides the contemporary benchmark
- The comfort standard that keeps the collection from reading as purely traditional.
- Hembree Farm creates the proprietary product opportunity between them
- The one thing a nationally distributed brand cannot offer: margin and identity the dealer participates in.

What a first conversation should cover
Practical points that decide whether this is workable, in the order they matter:
- Exclusivity and territory. What Hembree Farm exclusivity in this market is worth to The Mission Motif, and what geography it covers.
- Product selection. Which Trend Manor and Bad Ass Recliners pieces enter the collection first, and who decides.
- Specification control. How finishes, leathers and fabrics become Hembree Farm specifications rather than catalog options.
- Channel separation. How the collection is presented so it complements rather than shadows the existing Stickley and Stressless assortment.
- Scott Antique Markets responsibilities. Who provides inventory, who staffs the room, who owns the leads it generates.
- HembreeFarm.com role. Storytelling only, lead capture, or transacting, and how orders route to the showroom.
- Sample and floor commitment. What has to physically exist before the first Scott room, and who funds it.
- A phased path. One room, one season, one measurable result before anything larger is committed.
Why start small
Nothing here requires a lease, a buildout, or a large inventory position. One Hembree Farm room at Scott, a handful of representative pieces, and a landing page is enough to find out whether the story converts.
If it does, the collection expands into specification work, exclusive finishes and a proprietary assortment. If it does not, the cost was a market booth and a weekend. That asymmetry is the reason to test it rather than debate it.
Next step
A working conversation, not a proposal
We would like to sit down with The Mission Motif and walk through exclusivity, product selection and a single pilot room at Scott. Everything else follows from those three answers.
The first step is a collaboration discussion, not a signed agreement.
